Comprehensive support in the planning

Heytex provides radiation-related physical measurements for planning purposes

Weaving, coating, laminating: The expertise in these areas makes Heytex a world leader in the manufacture of technical textiles for tents, textile halls, shade sails and so on. Such sophisticated high-performance fabrics can only be created with the help of in-depth expertise and continuous development. Handling them requires utmost care and precision.

It is well known that sunlight is divided into UV, visual (light) and energetic (heat) radiation according to wavelength. While harmful UV radiation should always be completely excluded, the purpose of use in tents and textile halls determines whether light or heat should reach the interior or be kept away as far as possible.

Heytex cooperates with Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics (Fraunhofer Institut für Bauphysik) in order to offer its customers comprehensive planning support. UV, light and heat radiation are measured according to DIN EN410 and ASTM G173 / E903 standards in terms of permeability, absorption and reflection. Together with the U-value, these values result in the so-called g-value (total energy from permeability and radiant heat of the absorbed radiation into the interior), which forms a component for calculations and simulations of the room climate in the tent.

In addition to the g-value, the Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) also plays a decisive role in planning. The SRI value takes into account the climatic impact of the building on its surroundings when certifying buildings according to LEED – especially in summery framework conditions.

Thus, Heytex not only offers the right material for every application (from blockout to standard materials in a wide variety of colors up to highly translucent goods), but also support the decision-making and planning process in all phases.

Faithful to the company’s mission statement: You have the challenge, we have the right material.

Heytex goes fashion

Fashion Design student uses HEYcargo vectaplan 9/9 (H5560) for her term range.

Luisa Marie Meißner studies fashion design at the Fashion Design Institute Dusseldorf and was given left-over Heytex goods.

„Keep the child in your heart and see the colors within the grey everyday life“– this is the concept of the so called Lilo-range. The range allows even grown-ups to dribble without getting their clothing dirty. All parts are washable. Let the child in yourself run free – no problem due to the clothing ‘s tensile strength.

The colors are inspired by children’s ‘toys. Especially Lego plays animportant role in its structure. To gain a special shape effect, Lego stones were embossed into the material by a vacuum technique.

The name of the range is owned to Luisa’s grandmother. She is a colorful and young at heart woman with great radiance, whose nickname is Lilo.

Change of Management at BondCote

Martin Denney will succeed Ted Anderson

Martin Denney will become Vice President of BondCote Corporation. He will replace Ted Anderson, who successfully managed the company for more than 14 years and will retire on 4 December 2017.

BondCote Corporation is the American branch of the globally active textile group Heytex in Bramsche. In 2015, BondCote Corporation was acquired as part of the company’s portfolio and rounds off the broad product spectrum. The U.S.-based company, with its approximately 80 employees, is specialized in the production of coated and laminated textiles for military, defense and safety, agricultural, large and party tents as well as banners for indoor and outdoor applications. Like its parent company Heytex, BondCote is strongly focused on finding all kinds of application solutions. True to the company motto: “You have the requirement, we have the right material.”

Martin Denney brings a wealth of experience in operations and sales from the industry, including more than 10 years in a global company where he was responsible for the production of technical textiles.
“I am very much looking forward to this new task and the associated challenge. I am convinced that we will continue to write the BondCote Corporation success story,” Denney said about his new task.

HEYlight of the month – coastbar 950 TPU

Heytex takes home Show Stopper Award
