University Osnabrück on a visit to plant Bramsche

Last Friday, we welcomed the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences to our plant. During a factory tour, students and employees of the Polymer Engineering Department as well as Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thorsten Krumpholz were able to gain an exciting insight into our diverse manufacturing processes.

Particularly interesting was the look into the weaving mill – for almost all visitors this is an area with which they had no contact in the past. Our weaving manager Werner Büchter answered all questions and presented the various weaving techniques and machines.

The tour ran along the production chain – after the weaving department came insights into the paste-making department and the coating plants. Of course, the laboratory was also part of the tour. Here, the various mechanical and chemical analysis options were presented.

Finally, various end applications made of Heytex material could be examined in the showroom. Besides the presentation of the products, there was a lively exchange about possible common topics for final theses.

We are looking forward to committed students who would like to write their final thesis with us.
