Heytex USA sold to strategic investor
/in General, Press /by Senta KespohlBramsche, October 2nd 2024.
Heytex USA Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Heytex Bramsche GmbH, is being sold to a local strategic investor with immediate effect. Following the recently announced imminent takeover of the Heytex Group by Freudenberg Performance Materials (FPM) based in Weinheim (Baden-Württemberg), a future-oriented solution has been found for the location in the USA, which is not part of the Heytex sale to FPM. The current Heytex USA Inc. will operate under the name Bondcote Performance Textiles in the future, so that the brand name “Bondcote”, which is highly valued by customers, will once again come to the fore.
“We were very interested in finding a promising solution for our plant in Pulaski (VA), which will not be sold to FPM. With XFS, Heytex USA will be owned by someone who knows the American market inside out, providing the basis for a successful future. For the employees in Pulaski, this is a great opportunity to continue the work of the last few years at the site. I believe that we are leaving Heytex USA and our valued customers and local colleagues in good hands,” says Hans-Dieter Kohake, CEO of the Heytex Group.
“The Bondcote Performance Textiles organization has offered Berry Amendment compliant fabrics, integral to our shelter solutions that facilitate military operations worldwide. With this acquisition, XFS Global continues to enhance our vertical integration and streamline operations to the benefit of our customers, particularly the U.S. military and Allied forces,” said Jacob Furbee, President and CEO of XFS Global.
“As both companies are strategically located in Virginia, our collaboration will create efficiencies supporting our continued process improvements and quality control initiatives and will make us even more agile and operationally efficient,” added Paul Wilcox, Vice President of Business Development & Market Growth.
“We are excited about the opportunities this acquisition will create for our customers across all sectors, as well as for our employees. Together, XFS Global and Bondcote Performance Textiles will be able to achieve rapid growth while delivering the highest quality solutions,” concluded Mr. Furbee.
